As you create your poem, I encourage you to use the screen as a canvas to create a multimedia performance. In fact, if you find that screen performane is to your liking, you can create your e-poem with this technique.
In addition to potentially performing and capturing materials, you will do much of your composing using Camtasia.
For the assignment itself, you can translate a poem to the screen or compose your own poem. You can use any materials available on your screen as well as sound, voice, etc.
Seek to really deploy the Camtasia program elements, using animations, opacity, movement, sound, etc. to develop a piece of electronic art.
After you have uploaded your videos to YouTube or Vimeo, upload the video to our class site using the e-poetry content type. Be sure to add an image for slideshows. (I will give a demonstration in class.)
As you develop these poems, pay particular attention to the concerns of sound and of the viewer's attention.
Complete your e-poems and post them to the Web site by February 16th.
