Prepping Postings for Curation on Class Web Site

To help curate all of our class materials, complete the following steps:

  1. Open your original E-Poetry project on our Web site, and then take an appropriate screen shot to get an image that represents the project. Use the snipping tool on a PC and command-shift-4 on a mac
  2. Use the Edit button to edit the posting.
  3. Check the Title to see if it is concise and tells something about the nature of the project. Edit if needed.
  4. Use the Slideshow image field to select and the Upload your screenshot.
  5. Use the checkboxes to tag the posting. As you make decisions about which boxes to check, think about the options that best represent the piece. Many pieces will evoke multiple outcomes and composing skills. Use your judgment and select as many as make sense, focusing on those that are most relevant
  6. Use the tagline field to write a couple of sentences. These sentences can discuss the thinking behind the outcomes and composing checkboxes you have selected. They can also capture the gist of the piece. Aim for a punchy style that can be used to gloss the work.
  7. Save the posting.

Repeat this process for all of these projects:

In addition to updating these postings, it would be helpful if you have a cryptic user name for you to edit that so that the projects are more clearly linked with a person. To complete this task, select your username from the top-right corner of the Web site. Then select Edit. Change the name--if needed--to represent your first and last name or your first name and the initial of your last name.
